Love Talk Part I, 2009
Video, 3’41’’

Love Talk I is a video where an ex weight lifting champion relates his commitment to the sport, as well as his relationship to beauty and the body. The conversation digressed. The champion expressed his admiration for cinema and particularly films about the mafia. He slowly revealed elements that brought us closer to his private life, namely that he named his son “Padrino”, a nickname taken from the Francis Coppola film The Godfather.

A former Lebanese weightlifting champion speaks about his relationship to the body and to discipline. The conversation gradually shifts. References to cinema emerge, moving toward a more personal register. Fragments of private life appear through the digression.
