Found glass, sticker

Two shards of glass, found in the artist’s childhood home on the night of the Beirut port explosion. Fragments of a cat sticker remain attached, split across the broken surfaces. The sticker once marked the window to prevent children from running into it. Now torn in two, it persists as a fragment of a gesture of care, disrupted by the violence of the event.
