Behind the Shield is a 57 minutes video installation that paints a filmic portrait of the city of Beirut between 2019 and 2020. The work documents key moments in the country’s recent history, from the October Revolution in 2019 to the port explosion of August 4th 2020, while also shedding light on the mundane and commonplace facets of everyday life.

Behind the Shield est une installation vidéo de 57 minutes qui dresse un portrait cinématographique de Beyrouth entre 2019 et 2020. L'œuvre capture des moments clés de l’histoire récente du pays, de la révolution d’octobre 2019 à l’explosion du port du 4 août 2020, tout en mettant également en lumière les aspects banals et ordinaires de la vie quotidienne.
