Musical Chairs is an installation composed of five chairs connected to a mechanical system activated by a motion sensor.
Triggered by the presence of viewers, the chairs collapse in sequence, following the rhythm of an excerpt from Beethoven’s Für Elise—music that remains inaudible. By removing the sound and synchronizing the movement, the work disrupts the logic of the game, rendering it impossible to play.
