Entre les ruines, video installation in collaboration with the dancer Alexandre Paulikevitch and five musiciens, filmed in Bint Jbeil, Southern Lebanon, 2007.

Entre les ruines (Among the ruins) is a collaboration with dancer and choreographer Alexandre Paulikevitch. The shooting took place in Bint Jbeil, in southern Lebanon in February 2007, several months after the end of the 33-day war between Hezbollah and the Israeli army in 2006. This video crosses the desolate condition of the village with the tension exerted by the dancer. Usually performed by a woman, the dance is here embodied by a man, allowing a diferent reading of a body in relation to it’s surrounding of deserted ruins. Fattouh asked 5 musicians to each create a sound track for the video. The final installation is a projection with 5 headphones so that the visitor can choose between the diferent sonic interpretations of the video.
